New Delhi, Feb 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has been actively supervising the preparations for the Maha Kumbh during Maghi Purnima since the early hours of Wednesday. A significant number of devotees have congregated to partake in a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj.
Since 4 a.m., CM Yogi has been monitoring the proceedings from the war room at his official residence in Lucknow, in collaboration with DGP Prashant Kumar and Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad.
DIG Prayagraj, Vaibhav Krishna, confirmed that the crowd is being effectively managed, with bathing practices occurring smoothly across all ghats. There are strict traffic diversions and organized crowd control measures in effect.
A magnificent sight was witnessed as flower petals were showered (Pushpa Varsha) upon the devotees and ascetics engaging in the holy dip at the revered confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
Earlier today, CM Yogi conveyed his well-wishes through social media platform X, praying for the health, prosperity, and fortune of all devotees.

For security measures, paramilitary forces have been stationed at critical locations to prevent overcrowding at the primary ghats and guide pilgrims to alternative bathing spots.
The state government has put in place extensive safety and healthcare protocols, with hospitals in the city and surrounding areas on high alert. Surveillance operations are ongoing via land, water, and air. A total of 133 ambulances, including seven river ambulances and one air ambulance, are available for emergencies.
Each sector of the Kumbh Mela area is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities to address any situation.
