MahaKumbh 2025 Commences: CM Yogi Extends Warm Welcome to Pilgrims at the Grand Spiritual Event

New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) With the commencement of MahaKumbh 2025 in the sacred city of Prayagraj on Monday, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, conveyed heartfelt greetings on the auspicious day of Paush Purnima and invited devotees to this magnificent spiritual congregation.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister welcomed devotees, saints, and Kalpvasis to this grand spiritual event, highlighting the intersection of faith and modernity that the MahaKumbh embodies.
CM Yogi stated in his post, “Greetings on Paush Purnima. The world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, 'MahaKumbh', is commencing today in the holy city of Prayagraj. All the esteemed saints, Kalpvasis, and devotees who have come to witness unity in diversity, meditate, and take a holy bath at the confluence of faith and modernity are warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was vibrant as over 50 lakh devotees took a holy dip at the Sangam Triveni on Sunday, just before the first bathing festival, Paush Purnima.
This gathering comprised saints, sages, men, women, children, and the elderly, all steeped in devotion. Earlier on Saturday, an additional 33 lakh people engaged in this holy ritual, with an estimated over 45 crore devotees anticipated to partake in the event in the upcoming weeks.
Thanks to the MahaKumbh, Prayagraj has experienced a significant transformation under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Previously characterized by narrow, dilapidated roads, the city now features enhanced infrastructure, including the construction and improvement of more than 200 roads, facilitating smooth connectivity for the devotees.
The government led by Yogi Adityanath is dedicated to ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for pilgrims, which has sparked joy and enthusiasm among attendees.
The initial 'Amrit Snan' will occur on Makar Sankranti, January 14, with all Akharas partaking in a traditional bathing sequence. As the MahaKumbh unfolds, it continues to signify unity in diversity and the pride of Sanatan Dharma.
