New Delhi, Feb 17 (NationPress) On the 36th day of the Maha Kumbh 2025, countless devotees converged in Prayagraj at the Triveni Sangam to partake in the sacred dip, a vital rite during this grand spiritual festival.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reported that around 1.49 crore devotees immersed themselves in the holy waters at the Sangam on Sunday. The Maha Kumbh continues to attract a remarkable number of attendees daily, with the atmosphere at the Sangam reflecting the profound faith and devotion of the pilgrims.

Many devotees expressed their admiration for the arrangements made by the government, highlighting their satisfaction with the facilities provided. One devotee stated, “This is magnificent, a world-class Kumbh; such an event has never occurred before, nor will it again. The arrangements are outstanding.”

Another devotee shared similar views, saying, “People are arriving and taking holy dips here at the Maha Kumbh effortlessly. The management is exceptionally organized. Even with crores of people present, everything is handled efficiently.”

A devotee from Bihar, who journeyed to the event, expressed gratitude, saying, “I came from Bihar, took a dip, and now I’m on my way home. Everything was so well-organized and controlled. We encountered no problems, and I want to thank the Yogi government.”

Despite the incident at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday, the spirit of the devotees remained unshaken.

In the aftermath of the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, Prayagraj Junction and other local stations have put emergency protocols in place.

Authorities are facilitating the smooth movement of crowds by operating additional special trains. Over 117 special trains were running on Sunday evening, with more anticipated to continue until February 28. Railway officials have emphasized that there will be no compromise on safety or efficiency during this time.
