Ayodhya, October 17 (NationPress) As the Deepotsav festival approaches, the holy city of Ayodhya is preparing for a grand celebration of aarti that promises to surpass last year's magnificence.
The city of Lord Ram will be adorned with millions of lamps, while the banks of the sacred Saryu River aim to make history by gathering over 2,000 participants, including women, Sanskrit students, and individuals from underprivileged backgrounds.
Last year, a collective aarti involving 1,151 participants earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. This year, the event is expected to be twice as large, ushering in a new era of spiritual unity and devotion in Ayodhya.
Organized with the support of the district administration and the Municipal Corporation, the event is scheduled for October 19th at 5:00 p.m. The ghat designated for the aarti has been divided into 11 zones, with arrangements for 200 participants to perform the aarti in each zone, stretching from Nayaghat to Laxman Ghat.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a collaborative effort between the administration and social organizations has been tirelessly working to create a beautiful confluence of devotion, culture, and social harmony.
Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi emphasized that every effort is being made to ensure a spectacular and organized event that aligns with Ayodhya's traditions.
On October 17th, the Deepdan ceremony was concluded at 3 p.m., and rehearsals for the aarti are ongoing to ensure participants are well-prepared, including Vedic recitation and lamp lighting.
When the sacred Saryu River glimmers with the light of 2,100 lamps, it will symbolize the intersection of spirituality, unity, and the divine power of the mother goddess, conveying Ayodhya's message of divinity to the world.
