Ayodhya, Oct 11 (NationPress) The revered city of Lord Ram, Ayodhya, is experiencing a remarkable transformation fueled by the visionary guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. With the ninth edition of the grand Deepotsav festival on the horizon, Ayodhya is evolving into not just a significant pilgrimage destination but also a dynamic fusion of cultural heritage, cutting-edge infrastructure, and top-notch tourism amenities.

Central to this transformation is the stunning enhancement of Ram Ki Paidi and the revitalization of the Saryu ghats, initiatives designed to enrich the spiritual environment while attracting visitors from around the world.

The government has unveiled a new spectator facility at Ram Ki Paidi, which can accommodate between 18,000 to 20,000 devotees at once. Developed during the fiscal year 2023-24 at an expenditure of Rs 2,324.55 lakh, this upgrade features 350 metres of newly constructed steps, modern lighting, surrounding walls, and improved facilities.

A newly-opened selfie spot showcasing magnificent stone sculptures of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, and Lakshman has quickly gained popularity among pilgrims and tourists, creating a perfect blend of devotion and photography.

Under a newly sanctioned project for the fiscal year 2024–25 with a budget of Rs 2,367.61 lakh, Ram Ki Paidi will soon take on an even grander appearance. This undertaking will incorporate the construction of eight small amphitheatres for visitor comfort, along with six intricately designed stone canopies, eight grand lamps, and seven-metre-high stone pillars that will enhance the ghat's allure.

With modern lighting and aesthetically pleasing landscaping, the site will beautifully integrate tradition with modernity, providing an unforgettable experience for devotees and travelers.

The Saryu River, the lifeblood of Ayodhya, is also receiving a significant upgrade. The state government has allocated Rs 2,346.11 lakh for the renovation and beautification of a 2.5-kilometre stretch of the riverfront ghats.

This initiative includes 32 stone canopies, 11 massive pillars, four worship platforms, two Gau Pooja zones, 15 directional signages, 60 interpretation walls, and a VIP pavilion.

Modern lighting systems and improved cleanliness will enhance the spiritual atmosphere, making the Saryu Aarti an even more captivating spectacle for devotees.

UPPCL Project Manager Manoj Sharma stated that under CM Adityanath's leadership, the development projects in Ayodhya are not just construction efforts but representations of a cultural revival. The beautification of Ram Ki Paidi and the Saryu ghats has not only elevated the city's spiritual environment but has also invigorated tourism.

“Our aim is to complete all projects ahead of schedule and with the highest quality standards, ensuring that both devotees and tourists visiting Ayodhya can genuinely experience its magnificence and divinity,” he remarked.

District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram mentioned that all construction is being managed through UPPCL. He emphasized that these projects have propelled Ayodhya to new global heights, significantly enhancing its international stature while boosting the local economy and tourism sector.
