Ayodhya, June 2 (NationPress) This week marks a significant achievement in the initial phase of the construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex, culminating in the Prana Pratishtha (consecration) of eight deities within the grounds.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared on Monday that the consecration ceremonies are set to occur from June 3 to June 5.
“The rituals will reach their climax on June 5 at 11:25 a.m. with the primary Prana Pratishtha Puja, followed by the Bhog Aarti around 1 p.m. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to grace the occasion,” he stated.
The deities being consecrated include Shivling, Ganpati, Hanuman Ji, Surya Dev, Bhagwati, Annapurna, Sheshavatar, and Shri Ram Darbar.
A total of 101 Vedic acharyas from various regions of India will conduct the rituals in a traditional Vedic manner.
“This is primarily a worship-focused event and not a large public gathering,” emphasized Rai.
“We kindly ask devotees to refrain from coming in large numbers, particularly on June 5. Although there is no formal invitation system and the event is open to all, we expect everyone to exhibit devotion, discipline, and restraint,” Rai appealed.
Interestingly, June 5 also coincides with the festival of Ganga Dussehra and the birthday of CM Yogi Adityanath. Champat Rai described this coincidence as “spontaneous and a manifestation of divine will.”
The three-day Vedic ceremonies will begin at 6:30 a.m. daily, with the main rituals taking place on June 5.
In preparation for the Prana Pratishtha, a Kalash Yatra commenced on Monday from the banks of the Saryu River. Numerous women participated in this religious procession, which traversed through Rangmahal Barrier, Lata Chowk, Rampath, Shringar Haat, Hanumangarhi Bazaar, Dashrath Mahal, and Ramkot Barrier before arriving at the Yagya Sthal.
Due to unpredictable weather, no significant public event has been organized.
The Trust has requested devotees to visit Ayodhya at their convenience and avoid overwhelming the area on June 5.
