Bengaluru, Feb 12 (NationPress) The 'Future of Innovation' Expo made its debut on Wednesday during the Global Investors Meet, showcasing over 40 international and emerging enterprises that are set to transform various industries.

Inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar and Large and Medium Industries Minister M. B. Patil, this event emphasizes pioneering technologies across sectors such as drones, space, agri-tech, manufacturing, healthcare, and others.

Post-inauguration, both Shivakumar and Patil eagerly toured different pavilions, including the Karnataka Pavilion, Toyota, Embassy Group, State Tourism, and Drone Technology, gaining insights into their distinct offerings. They also examined Agri-Tech innovations anticipated to revolutionize agriculture, as well as medical technologies designed to streamline disease diagnosis and treatment.

Regarding the expo, Minister M.B. Patil stated, "Over 40 companies are involved in this event, featuring both global giants and emerging startups. The expo highlights advanced technologies in drones, aerospace, agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, aviation, and defence."

A notable aspect of the expo is the involvement of companies focused on renewable energy, semiconductors, electric vehicles, and sustainable manufacturing. A dedicated 'Karnataka Pavilion' has also been established to exhibit the state’s accomplishments, he noted.

Key participating firms include GE Healthcare, Hero Future Energies, River Mobility, Sarala Aviation, Galaxy Space, and Lam Research. Moreover, startups like Queen City, Flying Wedge, Bellatrix, Skysurf, and Flux Auto are featured within the Karnataka Pavilion.

In a related development, Lam Research announced an investment exceeding Rs 10,000 crore in Karnataka over the coming years, as disclosed by Sesha Varadarajan, Senior Vice President of Global Products Group at Lam Research, during the Invest Karnataka 2025 ceremony.

Lam Research is an American enterprise specializing in tools crucial for semiconductor manufacturing, utilized in wafer processing and wiring of semiconductor devices. This investment represents a significant boost to Karnataka's semiconductor ecosystem, reflecting the state's potential in these key sectors.

Additionally, Lam Research has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Karnataka Government to designate a parcel of land owned by the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) for the planned investment. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah underscored that this investment positions Karnataka at the center of the global semiconductor ecosystem.
