New Delhi, May 1 (NationPress) Spiritual leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has recently accused Congress MP Rahul Gandhi of engaging in political theatrics regarding the tragic Pahalgam incident. He also expressed concerns about the admiration shown for Akhilesh Yadav by a Pakistani senator, which has gained traction on social media.
In an interview with IANS, Pramod Krishnam claimed that the Leader of Opposition and the Congress party have failed to demonstrate the necessary commitment to confront Pakistan, instead opting to wait for a strategic moment to challenge the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He stated, “Rahul Gandhi is betraying the Hindus and the families of martyrs. His visits to grieving families are not about empathy but rather about political gain. This is merely a political journey.”
During his visit to Kanpur, Rahul Gandhi met with the family of Shubham Dwivedi, a victim of the Pahalgam attack, promising them that justice will be served against the terrorists involved.
While comforting the victim's wife, he remarked, “I will reach out to the PM to grant martyr’s status to Shubham.”
In response, Pramod Krishnam conveyed that he and his party aim to align themselves with the government in addressing the heinous act of terrorism in Kashmir, hence their visits to affected families.
He accused the Congress MP of deceiving the public.
Moreover, the former Congress leader claimed that Rahul Gandhi has never genuinely expressed support for the Prime Minister in taking stern action against Pakistan.
Pramod Krishnam also criticized other parties within the INDIA bloc, including the Samajwadi Party, for not providing full backing to the government in combating cross-border terrorism.
Referring to a viral video where Pakistani senator Saifullah Abro praised Akhilesh Yadav in the Pakistan Parliament for criticizing the Modi government over supposed security shortcomings, he highlighted the seriousness of the situation.
“Until now, Rahul Gandhi was being revered in nations like Pakistan and China, but now Akhilesh Yadav has also garnered admiration from across the border,” he noted.
“This must not be underestimated. It’s a critical issue, and the public should investigate why Pakistan has developed a newfound appreciation for the SP leader,” he concluded.
