Kanpur, April 14 (NationPress) Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, the head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stated on Monday that foreign invaders capitalized on the internal divisions within Indian society to further their own agendas.

During the inauguration of the newly-built Sangh Bhawan in Karvalo Nagar, Bhagwat remarked, “For over two thousand years, our society has been caught up in internal conflicts and differences. This disunity allowed foreign invaders to conquer us.”

He also unveiled the Bhimrao Ambedkar Auditorium located within the Sangh office grounds.

Emphasizing the need for social unity, Bhagwat pointed out that the RSS operates not just for its own interests, but for the betterment of society as a whole.

“The work of the Sangh extends beyond the organization; it is meant for everyone, for the entire nation. While we have celebrated many joyous occasions, such a significant gathering is uncommon,” he noted.

Bhagwat asserted that the Sangh aims to incorporate every segment of society in its initiatives. “This office will serve as a center for uniting and coordinating various positive projects that are ongoing in society,” he added.

He paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the founding figure of the Indian Constitution, remembering the struggles Babasaheb endured from an early age.

“Babasaheb faced immense challenges throughout his life. He committed himself to the unification of society,” Bhagwat expressed.

The RSS's publicity chief mentioned that the newly constructed four-story Sangh Bhawan has been designed with careful consideration.

“It features a large library in the basement and sufficient parking space. The building's ventilation has been meticulously planned, with windows strategically placed to ensure natural light floods in throughout the day,” he explained.

Bhagwat is set to meet with workers from the Sangh’s service department across six sectors on April 15 and 16. On April 15, he will visit the Koyla Nagar branch in eastern Kanpur, followed by Nirala Nagar on April 16.

On April 17, he will engage with the state executive to deliberate on key focus areas as the Sangh approaches its centenary year. These areas include civic responsibility, eco-conscious living, social cohesion, family values, self-awareness, and a review of ongoing state initiatives.
