Bhopal, May 24 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state administration has resolved to designate Bhind as the emerging industrial hub in the Gwalior-Chambal region.
Reiterating the government's dedication to job creation, industrial expansion, as well as initiatives for women empowerment and enhancing farmers' income, CM Yadav discussed comprehensive plans slated for implementation throughout Madhya Pradesh over the next five years.
Speaking before a public gathering in the Lahar Assembly constituency of the Bhind district, which borders Uttar Pradesh, CM Yadav emphasized the successful 'Operation Sindoor' executed by the Indian Armed Forces.
He acknowledged the sacrifices made by numerous youths serving in the Indian Army.
Praising the valor of the youth from Bhind, he remarked on the region's commendable history of military service.
"Every home in Bhind has nurtured courageous soldiers safeguarding our nation's borders," said CM Yadav.
He pointed out the transformation of the area from a domain of fear due to dacoits to one characterized by progress and pride.
"The citizens of Bhind have embarked on a journey of development, and the state government is unwaveringly committed to advancing the Chambal region," he stated.
Highlighting advancements in irrigation, CM Yadav disclosed that currently, Madhya Pradesh boasts 55 lakh hectares of irrigated land, with aspirations to reach 100 lakh hectares soon.
He mentioned significant interlinking river initiatives, such as the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Project, which was approved after a span of 40 years at a cost of Rs 70,000 crore, and the Ken-Betwa Link Project, backed by the Central government, which will aid various districts in Bundelkhand.
The Chief Minister noted that the project is expected to benefit thousands of families by ensuring sustainable access to irrigation, drinking water, and industrial resources.
Once the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Project is operational, several districts in the Gwalior-Chambal area, alongside others like Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Agar-Malwa, Shajapur, Dewas, and Rajgarh, will receive sufficient water for irrigation.
