Vadodara, May 2 (NationPress) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects totaling Rs 1,156 crore in Vadodara.

While addressing attendees, CM Patel emphasized the significance of digital discipline, urging especially the youth to better manage their time on mobile devices.

"If we can't detach ourselves from screens, how can we expect our children to do so?" he questioned.

He further asserted that the government needs to act despite facing opposition, stating, "When the government initiates a project, some individuals immediately oppose it. But how can we turn a blind eye to development?"

In discussing recent initiatives, the Chief Minister noted, "Just yesterday, projects worth over Rs 600 crore were launched in Panchmahal, and today, Vadodara has projects worth Rs 1,156 crore."

"Previously, even a project worth Rs 1 lakh was hard to get sanctioned. Now, citizens trust that their needs will be addressed under this administration," he mentioned.

He encouraged citizens to communicate their concerns with the government, but also urged them to maintain decorum.

CM Patel added that occasional administrative oversights should not discourage citizens.

"If a negative incident arises, investigate and rectify it. Mistakes occur when so much work is in progress, but that doesn't imply the government is neglectful," he stated.

He pointed out how Gujarat's infrastructure and housing initiatives have gained national recognition.

"We've delivered over 8 lakh houses across Gujarat. Compare the last 25 years to the previous four decades, and you'll witness the transformation," he remarked.

"India was once viewed with skepticism, but today we are discussed globally. Even the common man in India can now live with pride," he added.

Regarding India's rising international reputation, CM Patel noted, "In the past, we had to wait for years to reach global standards. Today, Indian products are exported worldwide - this is our strength. Just observe how people react now when they see an Indian passport; it symbolizes pride."

He reaffirmed the government's dedication to inclusive development.

"Vadodara will benefit from the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the Dedicated Freight Corridor. The Bullet Train will also traverse this area. Vadodara is now a pivotal location in the global aerospace landscape," he stated.

He also mentioned that efforts are underway to enhance the Vishwamitri River to double its flow capacity.

"Vadodara is recognized as one of the fastest-growing and cleanest cities in the state. We hope this cleanliness becomes second nature. Let’s not worry about others' actions - let’s focus on our responsibilities," CM Patel concluded.

The Chief Minister wrapped up his address by advocating for holistic well-being, encouraging residents to utilize schemes like Ayushman Bharat while adopting preventive health practices such as yoga.
