Gandhinagar, July 31 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, presided over a crucial review meeting in Gandhinagar aimed at evaluating the advancements of 32 significant, development-focused projects totaling over Rs 1.74 lakh crore, which cover seven essential state departments.
This meeting, which included Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi and other senior officials, was designed to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of strategic infrastructure projects in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a 'Viksit Bharat', officials revealed on Thursday.
Among the prominent projects discussed were: land acquisition for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, where the CM instructed that compensation for farmers be finalized by August 2025; the 30 GW hybrid renewable energy park in Khavda, Kutch, with 64 percent already completed; the phased development of the Sabarmati Riverfront from Vasna Barrage to Gandhinagar Thermal Power Station; the Dream City infrastructure master plan in Surat; and Kaushalya - The Skill University, where CM Patel emphasized the urgent completion of all construction activities.
During the review, it was highlighted that 6,862 MW of renewable capacity is currently operational in Khavda, with complete park realization targeted for December 2026.
The CM also assessed the progress on the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal, where the state has allocated 400 acres for the project along with essential utilities, including water pipelines and electricity transmission lines, while road widening efforts are in progress.
Officials reported updates on associated infrastructure, such as Primary Health Centers, a police station, a bus depot, and a state pavilion, with preliminary planning beginning for a connected tourism circuit.
In his statements, CM Patel underscored the necessity of integrating all projects into Gujarat’s comprehensive development framework, demanding adherence to deadlines and quality benchmarks to prevent cost overruns. He urged departments to prioritize quality assurance and timely delivery at every phase.
