Patna, Jan 5 (NationPress) The Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Anand Kishore, disclosed the results for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 on Monday.

This group included 1,52,134 male and 1,04,167 female candidates, yielding an overall pass percentage of 57.96%.
For Paper-1, aimed at classes 9 and 10, 246,415 candidates registered. Of these, 1,54,145 candidates succeeded, resulting in a success rate of 62.56%.
In contrast, Paper-2, which served classes 11 and 12, saw participation from 195,799 candidates, with 102,156 achieving success, resulting in a success rate of 52.17%.
Overall, this computer-based test, which totaled 150 marks, had a combined success rate of 57.56%.
The success rate for female candidates was higher than 58%, while male candidates achieved a rate exceeding 57%. Anand Kishore noted that once again, women outperformed men in this examination.
The STET 2025 examination took place from October 14 to November 16, 2025, across two shifts in 23 examination centers across nine districts: Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Munger, Saharsa, Bhojpur, and Purnea.
The minimum qualifying marks were set at 50% for the General category, 45.5% for Backward Classes, 42.5% for Extremely Backward Classes, and 40% for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, differently-abled candidates, and women.
Upon announcing the results, the BSEB chairman congratulated the successful candidates and encouraged those who did not pass to remain positive.
He motivated them to prepare more effectively and pursue their goals with renewed vigor.
Anand Kishore also addressed several objections regarding the answer key for the Physics paper.
All objections were carefully reviewed, with necessary adjustments made, and a revised answer key produced.
The final answer key received approval from a committee of subject experts before the results were published.
