Patna, May 7 (NationPress) Following the successful execution of 'Operation Sindoor', BJP MLA and international shooter Shreyasi Singh praised the courageous actions of the Armed Forces and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a celebratory gathering at Kachhari Chowk in Bihar's Jamui.
Singh, representing the Jamui Assembly constituency, characterized the airstrike aimed at nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) as both daring and significant.
"This operation has led to the destruction of nine terror hideouts in Pakistan and PoK, marking a decisive move. The manner in which terrorists targeted women’s vermilion (sindoor) has been met with a powerful response by the Army, utilizing the same symbol to convey a strong message," she stated.
Singh highlighted that Operation Sindoor transcends a mere military initiative—it resonates with the identity and sentiments of every Indian.
"This isn’t just a military operation; it’s a mission connected to India’s essence and the emotions of its citizens. I take pride in stating that this operation was executed by two courageous women, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, who exemplify women empowerment," Singh remarked, emphasizing female leadership within the armed forces.
In response to the strikes, security measures have been significantly enhanced, especially in border states such as Bihar.
The Chief Minister's residence in Patna is now under increased surveillance, with dog squads deployed to inspect all vehicles entering the premises.
Officials have confirmed that no private vehicles will be permitted entry without comprehensive checks, indicating a shift from previous protocols.
This initiative highlights the government’s renewed vigilance amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
Earlier on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held an emergency video conference with Chief Ministers, Chief Secretaries, and Directors General of Police from all border states.
The aim was to review India’s internal and border security in light of the rising regional tensions.
Attendees included representatives from Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, and West Bengal, along with Ladakh's Lieutenant Governor B.D. Mishra.
Sources indicate that the Central government is particularly focused on enhancing surveillance and security along the borders with Pakistan and Nepal.
