Patna, Dec 6 (NationPress) The Bihar Police has made a remarkable advancement towards digital transformation with the introduction of the Citizen Service Portal app, which allows residents to access police services from the comfort of their homes, ensuring a quicker resolution of complaints.
The app was launched by Bihar's Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, who stated that this initiative will enhance the relationship between the police and the community, promoting transparency.
“Residents can now file complaints directly using their mobile devices, which will be handled and investigated by the police,” he mentioned.
The portal will also provide details regarding lost and found items, offering significant convenience to its users.
Following the launch, Samrat Chaudhary visited the Police Headquarters, where he conducted a high-level review meeting with the DGP and senior officials.
In-depth discussions were centered around law and order, crime management, and the enhancement of the state’s digital policing capabilities.
Officials regarded this initiative as a significant milestone toward smart policing in Bihar.
Chaudhary emphasized that the Home Department will not accept any negligence in maintaining law and order.
He instructed district officials to respond promptly to criminal incidents, maintain strict surveillance over criminal activities, and ensure visible policing throughout the state.
Reaffirming his strong stance, he stated, “Bihar is not a haven for criminals. Anyone who intends to violate the law will either need to change their ways or exit the state.”
During his meeting with senior police officials, Chaudhary urged the development of a comprehensive reporting system against illegal mining, a specific mechanism to identify individuals involved in illegal land transactions, a real-time monitoring system to combat land fraud, improved traffic management within three months, and monthly meetings involving DMs, SPs, and industry representatives to resolve challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
He reiterated that the NDA government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against land, sand, and liquor mafias.
On the previous day, Samrat Chaudhary announced the establishment of the Abhay Brigade, a specialized unit aimed at combating hooliganism and ensuring the safety of women.
One of the significant declarations was the creation of the Abhay Brigade, a dedicated anti-harassment force.
This brigade will operate in schools, colleges, market areas, crowded public spaces, and other sensitive locations.
“Its primary objective is to ensure women’s safety and take immediate action on any complaints of harassment or eve-teasing,” he stated.
