New Delhi, Sep 1 (NationPress) On the day when Rahul Gandhi concluded his ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha for disrespecting voters and undermining a constitutional entity like the Election Commission of India.

Speaking to reporters at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, Prasad stated that Gandhi’s yatra aimed to demand the revival of the malpractice of booth capturing.

“He seeks to reinstate ballot papers to enable booth capturing,” the BJP leader asserted, connecting the Mahagathbandhan’s resistance to the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll in Bihar with their strategy of using muscle power for booth control and allowing infiltrators to vote.

He remarked that Gandhi’s tendency to question his party’s defeats in EVM-based elections is a form of disrespect towards the voters’ mandate and casts doubt on a constitutional body like the Election Commission of India.

Criticizing Rahul Gandhi for attacking the SIR, Prasad claimed that he wishes the voter list to continue including names of 21 lakh deceased individuals, 7 lakh people with votes in multiple locations, and 35 lakh migrants.

Recalling Congress's failures in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, the BJP leader stated that Gandhi is systematically disrespecting the voters' mandate by disparaging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleging irregularities in the last three Lok Sabha elections won by the BJP under his leadership.

“Are you also attempting to disrespect the voters of Bihar?” questioned the former Union Minister, urging the electorate to “crush Gandhi’s arrogance” once more.

“I declare from this platform that voters in Bihar will again defeat Congress,” he proclaimed.

Prasad accused Congress of consistently misleading voters by discrediting PM Modi’s Lok Sabha election victories and suggesting collusion between the BJP and the ECI.

He also alleged that Gandhi has a history of making false claims and evading accountability. “Now, he is alleging discrepancies in voter lists in Bihar; previously, he raised issues regarding Rafale and Pegasus,” the BJP leader remarked.

Addressing the ballot-based elections, Prasad stated that as a party worker from Patna, he used to compile a list after every ballot election regarding the number of booths captured and sought re-elections for these booths.
