Patna, Oct 22 (NationPress) As the electoral excitement escalates in Bihar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, launched a fierce assault on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, labeling him as corrupt, nepotistic, and a plunderer.

Rai accused the RJD and its leadership of exploiting Bihar's resources and oppressing the underprivileged during their previous governance.

“In their administration, even the milk intended for children was subject to scams. The RJD government's fodder scam robbed the poor of their rights — a memory that lingers,” he charged.

The Union Minister asserted that numerous scams, including the infamous fodder scam, transpired during the RJD’s leadership, accusing Tejashwi Yadav of deceiving the populace with misleading promises.

“Tejashwi Yadav frequently deceives, but the citizens of Bihar will no longer endure it. This time, his chapter will be completely erased,” Rai declared.

Emphasizing the achievements of the NDA, Rai insisted that the NDA government has guided Bihar and the nation towards development.

“The public can distinctly observe the contrast between the corrupt past and today’s advancements,” he concluded.

His comments followed Tejashwi Yadav’s announcement of significant electoral promises — including the regularization of contractual employees and support for Jivika Didis — while criticizing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP. “Contractual employees are compelled to work for less than half their deserved salary and exist in a state of perpetual job insecurity, as they can be dismissed without warning,” Yadav remarked.

Joining the fray, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary questioned Tejashwi’s credibility, highlighting his family's long-standing power. “Tejashwi Yadav’s father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and mother governed Bihar for 15 years, yet they failed to create even one lakh jobs,” Choudhary noted.

He further accused Lalu Prasad of corruption, stating, “He served as the chancellor of 'charwaha vidyalaya' and was found guilty in the fodder scam. He also seized land from minorities and backward-class individuals through the land-for-job scam.”

Meanwhile, JD(U) spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar dismissed Tejashwi’s claims as ill-informed and misleading.

“Tejashwi Yadav has minimal understanding of the issues facing contractual employees and Jivika Didis. The Nitish Kumar administration has ensured that funds allocated for outsourcing companies are delivered directly to the employees. Furthermore, under Nitish Kumar’s guidance, approximately 31 lakh Jivika Didis have achieved financial success, becoming Lakhpatis, thus empowering them both socially and economically,” he asserted.

Point of View

It is crucial to navigate the charged political landscape with an unbiased lens. Both parties present compelling arguments, but the focus should remain on transparency and accountability for the betterment of Bihar. The electorate deserves clarity on promises made and the integrity of those making them.
