Patna, June 17 (NationPress) Former BJP MP Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Tuesday accused the family of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav of disrespecting B.R. Ambedkar and casting doubt on the legitimacy of Tej Pratap Yadav’s removal from the family.
“Lalu Prasad Yadav is unwell. But where were his family members and supporters when a picture of BR Ambedkar was placed near his feet? They owe an apology for this indignity,” he stated.
Commenting on Tej Pratap Yadav’s six-year ouster from the Yadav family and party, Choubey dismissed it as mere theatrics.
“The expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav is nothing but a charade. What happened to Lalu Yadav’s principles when his daughter-in-law was expelled? She was the granddaughter of the man who once mentored Lalu in politics,” he remarked, alluding to Tej Pratap’s ex-wife Aishwarya Rai and her grandfather Daroga Prasad Rai, a former Chief Minister of Bihar.
Regarding Khan Sir’s critique of Operation Sindoor, he replied, “He (Khan Sir) has been seen disparaging Pakistan in various clips. If he is now criticizing Prime Minister Modi over Operation Sindoor, he should recall that it was a decisive answer to terrorism stemming from Pakistani territory.”
Choubey also mocked the Congress party for its perceived inconsistent foreign policy.
“Sometimes Congress supports Gaza and at other times ‘Baza’. They have lost all credibility. This Congress will exit the country alongside Gaza-Baza,” Choubey commented.
In response to Congress’s call for PM Modi’s resignation after the Ahmedabad air crash, Choubey attributed the incident to a technical malfunction and defended the Prime Minister.
“The pilot attempted to handle the technical issues but was unsuccessful. Congress lacks the moral authority to criticize anyone. Today, Rahul Gandhi carries the Constitution in his hand— the same Constitution he has repeatedly violated. He is the true ‘killer’ of the Constitution,” Choubey added.
When asked about PM Modi’s current trip to Canada and its implications for bilateral relations, Choubey expressed confidence, stating, “It’s natural. Our Prime Minister is the pride of India. Today, the world cannot afford to overlook India.”
