Bhopal, June 17 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel stated on Tuesday that the 'Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan' initiative is set to play a vital role in empowering tribal communities throughout the nation.
Highlighting the significant aspects and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision behind this initiative, Patel referred to it as a groundbreaking step towards tribal empowerment and inclusive growth.
"The government is making focused efforts to ensure that tribal individuals, who have previously been excluded from government programs, services, and benefits, receive what they rightfully deserve," remarked the Governor while addressing a camp under the 'Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan' in Sehore district’s Jholiapur.
Patel further mentioned that 18 ministries of the Central government are working together on this campaign.
"Various initiatives, including PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, and NRLM, are being executed for the benefit of the underprivileged," he added.
The Governor also stressed that the campaign can only fulfill its true potential if there is a collective effort to ensure its success. He called for a united approach from society to realize the campaign's goals.
"It is a shared responsibility of society to motivate and support tribal community members in attending the camps organized under the campaign and availing themselves of these schemes and services," Patel noted.
Patel also explored the exhibitions hosted by various departments at the state-level camp and launched a Prachar Rath to promote the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan.
Importantly, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has initiated a large-scale outreach program for implementing its welfare schemes in over 500 districts across the country, targeting approximately 1 lakh tribal-dominated villages and settlements.
