New Delhi, Dec 20 (NationPress) The BJP has criticized Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi for his recent trip to Germany during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, accusing him of defaming India and meeting anti-India forces overseas.
During a press briefing at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia remarked, "Traveling abroad to defame India and associating with anti-India forces is an act undertaken by none other than the immature LoP Rahul Gandhi. This is alarming, and the Indian populace is equally outraged by these actions."
Bhatia emphasized that the fundamental duty of the Leader of the Opposition is to be present in Parliament while it is in session.
"However, Rahul Gandhi chooses to leave Parliament and travel to Germany. He visits the Hertie School in Germany and engages with Dr. Cornelia Woll," he pointed out.
Displaying a meme dubbed "GANDOS" (which combines the images of Rahul Gandhi and George Soros), Bhatia alleged that Rahul Gandhi has connections with American investor and philanthropist George Soros, linking him to the Open Society Foundation and Central European University (CEU), which the BJP claims have anti-India affiliations. Woll serves as a trustee of CEU.
"Rahul Gandhi and George Soros are intertwined, and evidence of this continues to surface... Why is it that each time Parliament is in session, Rahul Gandhi embarks on international trips and interacts with individuals who oppose India, resent India, and undermine India's integrity? What sort of anti-India agenda is this, where the Leader of the Opposition conspires against India in association with foreign entities?" Bhatia questioned.
He further asserted that this is not the first occasion where Rahul Gandhi has been "linked to anti-India activities", dubbing the Congress leader as the "Mir Jafar" of India.
"George Soros issues anti-India remarks, acts against India, and funds riots... However, he is neither an Indian citizen nor the LoP of India who has pledged allegiance to the Constitution. In contrast, Rahul Gandhi has sworn to uphold the Constitution. The Indian people are now demanding action against such 'sapolas' (snakes) of the nation," Bhatia stated.
"Rahul Gandhi is not merely immature but rather shrewd. His motives are against India for the sake of power. This pattern suggests that his actions could be deemed treasonous against India. Any statement or action from the LoP that undermines India is both shameful and alarming," he concluded.
Rahul Gandhi is on a five-day trip to Germany starting December 15. This visit, coinciding with the Winter Session of Parliament, has attracted significant criticism from the BJP.
