Key Takeaways
Vadodara/Surat, March 28 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has commenced its preparations for the forthcoming local self-government elections in Gujarat, emphasizing the enhancement of its booth-level organization. This initiative was discussed during a series of zonal meetings held on Saturday.
At a gathering of South Zone office bearers in Surat, BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma presented a strategy aimed at establishing a robust and meticulously organized structure extending to individual booths and households.
Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Paatil, state general secretary Prashant Korat, and state election management committee convener Gordhan Zadafia were among the attendees, along with district and city-level party leaders.
Vishwakarma urged the workers to ensure that information regarding the public welfare initiatives led by the BJP at both central and state levels is accessible to all. "The efforts of locally elected representatives should reach every household," they emphasized.
Paatil, Korat, and Zadafia also addressed the assembly, providing organizational guidance to the party’s cadre.
A similar focus on grassroots mobilization was evident at a Central Zone meeting in Vadodara, chaired by Vishwakarma. This meeting included state general secretary Hitendrasinh Chouhan, Zadafia, state election management committee member Jaswantsinh Bhabhor, and other party officials, Members of Parliament, and Members of the Legislative Assembly.
During the Vadodara meeting, Vishwakarma encouraged party workers to maintain ongoing communication with the public through outreach and travel, highlighting the government’s “nation-focused and public welfare initiatives”.
He described booth-level workers as the party’s “greatest asset” and called for detailed micro-planning at each booth to ensure a strong and effective organizational framework ahead of the elections.
Zadafia also contributed to the discussion, elaborating on various facets of election management. Both meetings are part of a larger effort by the party to synchronize its organizational strategy in anticipation of the local body elections.
