Gandhinagar, March 17 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat is set to hold a pivotal strategy meeting on March 18 at its state headquarters in Gandhinagar to prepare for the forthcoming local self-governance elections.

This gathering will be led by state president Jagdish Vishwakarma and will include prominent party figures such as the state organisation general secretary Ratnakarji, along with general secretaries, president, in-charges of various party divisions, and key members of the state election management committee and local election heads.

According to the party's chief spokesperson Anil Patel, the primary focus of the meeting will be on organizational readiness and collaboration for the elections.

“To ensure the effective administration of the upcoming local self-governance elections, we have established election management committees, adhering to the BJP’s established protocols, consisting of eight members at the state level and four members at district and metropolitan levels,” he stated.

Patel also mentioned that the party's outreach strategy will involve tours, group meetings, public events, and sessions to engage professionals, social organizations, women, youth, and farmers.

“The BJP is dedicated to maintaining continuous contact with voters throughout the year,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Patel pointed out that the performance of the government will play a crucial role in the campaign.

“Drawing on the achievements of the state government under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, as well as the evaluations of elected officials, the BJP will connect with the citizens,” he remarked.

He elaborated on the party's service-oriented philosophy, stating, “Our goal is to set up systems in every community and provide services to all households.”

Referring to previous local elections, Patel observed that the electorate had entrusted the BJP with governance in around 95 percent of local self-government bodies.

Addressing the opposition, Patel remarked, “The Congress party lacks a concrete plan and is resorting to various theatrics, including issues related to cooking gas cylinders. The people of Gujarat have consistently chosen not to place their trust in Congress.”

Earlier in the day, a meeting on organizational strategies for the elections was conducted at the same venue, presided over by Vishwakarma and attended by Ratnakarji.

The session involved state general secretaries, leaders of front organizations, in-charges, and members of the state election management committee, focusing on meticulous election planning.
