BJP Unveils Audio Clips Involving AAP MLA and Notorious Gangster

New Delhi, Nov 30 (NationPress) The BJP's action to disclose three audio recordings, allegedly involving Uttam Nagar legislator Naresh Balyan and a gangster, on Saturday prompted inquiries regarding whether Delhi legislators intimidate builders using thugs and take a portion of the extorted funds.

In the audio recordings, ranging from two to six minutes, the gangster is reportedly heard urging the AAP legislator to make swift choices about their engagement. However, IANS could not authenticate these audio clips.

Delhi BJP President Virender Sachdeva claimed that the gangster in the audio is Kapil Sangwan, a London-based criminal originally from Najafgarh in West Delhi.

This latest attack from the BJP on the ruling AAP follows Kejriwal's criticism of the BJP-led Centre on Friday regarding its alleged inability to uphold law and order in the city, pointing out a supposed increase in extortions, kidnappings, murders, and rapes.

In one of the recordings, the legislator is seemingly negotiating an amount with the gangster, who states he does not engage in tasks involving less than “25”, while the MLA proposes “10 or 15”.

The gangster also warns the legislator against using mobile phones to contact potential extortion targets in Delhi, as these can be monitored by police. He mentions, “They may question or harass the person about the reason behind the call received by them.”

During their supposed conversation, the legislator indicated to the gangster that he would be obtaining a new phone, ensuring that all subsequent discussions would take place on that new number.

The audio clips also seemingly include discussions about plans and feature a patwari who was claimed to be fearful of leaving his home or going to the office.

Accusing AAP leaders of participating in extortion schemes targeting business owners and builders in Delhi, BJP National Spokesman Gaurav Bhatia presented the three audio clips at a press conference in New Delhi.

Bhatia labeled Balyan as an “extortionist” who has been pressuring builders with the approval of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and collaborating with gangsters to extract protection fees from traders and builders.

The BJP representative also emphasized that during the extortion discussions, the MLA and gangsters allegedly agreed to divide the extortion profits via hawala.

Bhatia demanded clarification from Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi regarding Balyan's supposed involvement in extortion and stated, “The elected government in Delhi is intimidating the populace. If Kejriwal fails to address the questions raised by these audio clips, it will confirm that he is the mastermind behind the extortion scheme.”

Balyan previously faced controversy regarding a liquor scam, having been summoned by the police in 2015 related to a significant liquor seizure associated with him. The AAP leader maintained his innocence, labeling the seizure as a political conspiracy against him.
