Mohan Yadav: BJP's Role in Reviving Bengal and Ending Jungle Raj
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Kolkata/Bhopal, April 18 (NationPress) - On Saturday, Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav escalated his criticism of the incumbent Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during his campaign in West Bengal. He stated that the BJP is vital for abolishing the ongoing “jungle raj” and fostering development in the state.
“The BJP is a prerequisite for advancing West Bengal and eliminating the current ‘jungle raj’,” asserted Yadav, accusing the TMC-led administration of fostering chaos and hindering growth. He noted that citizens are eager for transformation and a stable governance structure.
Yadav conducted roadshows and engaged in door-to-door campaigns in Kamarhati of North 24 Parganas and Kharagpur Sadar in Paschim Medinipur. He rallied support for BJP candidates Arup Chowdhury and Dilip Ghosh, urging the electorate to endorse them decisively.
Pointing out the failures of the TMC administration, he claimed that development has stagnated and persistent issues like poverty and unemployment remain unresolved. Many residents, he alleged, are compelled to migrate due to a scarcity of opportunities, and essential infrastructure improvements are lacking in numerous areas.
“The populace of Bengal seeks liberation from mismanagement. They are prepared to embrace development and effective governance,” he emphasized, asserting that welfare initiatives would be executed more efficiently with a BJP government.
Highlighting the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yadav stated that West Bengal stands to gain from a “double engine” administration, where both state and central governments collaborate for expedited progress.
He also addressed the issue of infiltration, advocating for stringent measures to prevent illegal entries and ensure proper citizen identification, labeling it a significant challenge affecting state security and governance.
Throughout the campaign, Yadav interacted with the community, promising that a BJP-led government would prioritize job creation, infrastructure enhancement, and improved welfare scheme implementation.
Expressing optimism, he declared that the BJP is poised for a robust electoral performance. “The people of Bengal will instigate change and script a new chapter of development,” he concluded.
The West Bengal Assembly elections are slated for two phases on April 23 and April 29, with counting expected on May 4, as per the Election Commission.
