Bureaucratic Restructuring: Dr. P Anbalagan Takes Over as Industry Secretary in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Dec 24 (NationPress) The Maharashtra government conducted a bureaucratic restructuring on Tuesday, resulting in the transfer of 12 IAS officers. Dr. P Anbalagan, an IAS officer of the 2001 batch, who presently holds the position of chairman and managing director of the state-owned power generation entity MahaGenco, has been designated as the new industry secretary, taking over from Harshdeep Kamble, an IAS officer from the 1997 batch.
Kamble, who holds the rank of principal secretary, has been appointed as the general manager of BrihanMumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), replacing the current incumbent Anil Diggikar, an IAS officer from the 1990 batch. Diggikar has been reassigned as the additional chief secretary in the Divyang Kalyan Department at Mantralaya.
Dr. Radhakrishnan B, an IAS officer of the 2008 batch, currently serving as the Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of MahaGenco. Sanjay Daine, an IAS officer from the 2012 batch, who is the Gadchiroli district collector, has been assigned the role of Commissioner of Textiles in Nagpur.
Rahul Kardile, an IAS officer from the 2015 batch, currently serving as the Wardha district collector, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Nashik Municipal Corporation.
Vanmathi C, another IAS officer from the 2015 batch, who is currently the Joint Commissioner for State Tax, has been designated as the Wardha district collector.
Sanjay Pawar, an IAS officer from the 2015 batch and the Chief Executive Officer of Chandrapur Zilla Parishad, has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner for State Tax in Mumbai.
Avishyant Panda, an IAS officer of the 2017 batch currently serving as Commissioner of Textiles in Nagpur, has been reassigned as the Gadchiroli district collector.
Vivek Johnson, an IAS officer from the 2018 batch, has been assigned as the Chief Executive Officer of Chandrapur Zilla Parishad.
Annasaheb Dadu Chavan (SCS promoted), currently serving as Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) for Pune Division, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Mahatma Phule Jiavandai Arogya Yojana Society in Mumbai.
Gopichand Murlidhar Kadam (SCS promoted) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Smart City in Solapur.
