Bhopal, Feb 12 (NationPress) Majid Mujahid Husain, hailing from Burhanpur, achieved an impressive score of 296 out of 300 marks, emerging as the top performer in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 (session 1) in Madhya Pradesh. He attributes his remarkable success to the unwavering support of his parents and teachers.
On Tuesday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the JEE Main 2025 session 1.
By securing a 99.99 percentile in the JEE Mains, he has claimed the top spot in Madhya Pradesh.
Husain expressed his ambition to clear the JEE Advanced and pursue a career as a proficient engineer.
He shared his joy, stating that he resolved to take the JEE Mains seriously during his 10th grade.
After completing high school, Husain began his preparations for the JEE at a coaching institute.
"My parents supported my choice of subjects post-10th grade, and I was determined to excel as an engineer. I initially started my JEE Mains preparation in 10th grade and later joined a coaching center," Husain mentioned to IANS.
He emphasized the significance of time management and adhered to the advice from his parents and teachers, which played a crucial role in his success.
"I owe my gratitude to my parents and teachers for their encouragement and guidance. I dedicated 7-8 hours daily for study, apart from my academic curriculum. However, effective time management to cover all subjects was paramount," he added.
Husain's mother, Sakeena Husain, highlighted that his commitment was a vital element of his success. She encouraged parents of aspiring students to allow their children to choose their subjects and career paths.
"We did everything a parent typically does, but we never imposed pressure on him. If he didn't feel well or couldn't concentrate on his studies on a given day, we didn’t force him. Instead, we suggested he enjoy some outdoor activities," Sakeena remarked.
The NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2025 in two sessions – January and April. The results for the April session will be released alongside the cut-off scores necessary for eligibility in the JEE Advanced 2025 exam.
For the final merit list, the highest scores achieved by candidates in the JEE Main will be taken into account.
The JEE Main percentile scores are calculated based on the comparative performances of all candidates who take the exam. The scores obtained are converted onto a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each group of examinees.
