The bus, traveling from Ayodhya to Nagpur, lost control and flipped between 4 to 4.50 a.m., as reported by the police.

The injured were swiftly taken to multiple hospitals in Seoni and Lakhnadaun.

In a tragic turn, two passengers died at the scene, while a woman later succumbed to her injuries during treatment at Lakhnadaun Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Subham Meshram (28), Amol Khode (42) – both from Nagpur, and Malamma (45) from Hyderabad.

Reports indicate that the passengers were aboard a private bus after visiting Ayodhya.

Emergency responders worked tirelessly to rescue those trapped in the vehicle, with the injured being transported to Lakhnadaun Hospital via ambulance.

City Superintendent of Police Anjul Ayank Mishra informed IANS, stating, "Three individuals regrettably lost their lives in the accident, and 14 passengers are in the hospital, though none are critically injured. All received treatment and were taken to hospitals. There were 36 passengers on the bus. Except for those 14, all others were discharged after initial treatment."

Regarding the cause of the accident, the officer noted it was an identified black spot on the roadway, which has been reported to higher authorities, and efforts are underway to rectify it. Previous accidents have occurred in this area as well.

Raman Pur Valley, also referred to as 'Khooni Ghati' locally, is notorious for frequent accidents.

According to police sources, the road gradients are not appropriate, causing drivers to lose control of their vehicles if they are speeding or negligent, resulting in accidents and fatalities.
