New Delhi, June 21 (NationPress) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) marked the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day on Saturday.
Under the leadership of CBI Director Praveen Sood, senior officials and personnel from all levels of the CBI actively engaged in a unified Yoga session at the CBI Academy located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
This event featured a specialized Yoga session led by experts, allowing participants to practice various Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, and meditation techniques, all aimed at experiencing the rejuvenating benefits of Yoga.
The theme for this year's event, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” underscores Yoga's critical role in fostering holistic well-being and environmental balance.
A plantation initiative was also conducted at the CBI Academy, where more than 300 saplings of fruit-bearing trees were planted by CBI officers and staff. Additionally, a blood donation camp was organized, resulting in the donation of over 80 units of blood by trainees, staff, and family members.
Simultaneously, millions of individuals across the nation and worldwide participated in International Yoga Day events, supporting the theme – Yoga for One Earth, One Health – which beautifully encapsulates India’s ancient tradition of holistic health, reminding us of the profound connection between individual health and the health of our planet.
Since 2015, the International Yoga Day has been celebrated globally every year on June 21. This yearly celebration originated from a resolution passed in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, aimed at raising awareness about the numerous benefits of Yoga and encouraging individuals to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
Yoga, deeply rooted in India’s ancient heritage, has served as a timeless avenue for achieving physical vitality, mental clarity, and spiritual equilibrium. It has evolved into a worldwide movement, celebrated in over 190 countries, bridging cultural and national divides.
