New Delhi, Aug 13 (NationPress) The Centre confirmed the appointment of three judges to the Bombay High Court on Wednesday, following the recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium. In a message on X, Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal shared that President Droupadi Murmu has approved the appointment of advocates Gouse Ajit Bhagwanrao Kadethankar, Aarti Arun Sathe, and Sushil Manohar Ghodeswar as additional judges.
The Collegium convened on July 29 and endorsed the names of these three advocates for the role of judges at the Bombay High Court.
The proposal originated from the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, who consulted with his two senior-most colleagues.
According to the memorandum of procedure (MoP) that governs High Court judge appointments, the initiative for appointments must come from the Chief Justice.
