New Delhi, Sep 15 (NationPress) In a significant advancement towards financial inclusion as part of the Digital India initiative, CSC e-Governance Services India Limited (CSC SPV) has achieved an impressive milestone by disbursing over Rs 3,000 crore in loans since July 2023.
The program has experienced remarkable growth, with loan disbursements reaching Rs 86 crore in FY 2023-24, Rs 1,631 crore in FY 2024-25, and Rs 1,300 crore up until August 2025 for FY 2025-26.
To date, nearly 70,000 individuals have benefited from this initiative, many of whom are first-time borrowers, seeking small-ticket loans, and individuals from unbanked demographics.
By assisting rural households and small enterprises, this initiative has fostered entrepreneurship, fortified families, and energized local economies, as stated in an official release on Monday.
Utilizing a vast network of over 5.8 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) and collaborating with Piramal Finance, CSC has provided timely and affordable credit to underserved and marginalized communities located in remote rural areas.
The loans offered are more affordable and accessible than those from local lenders, significantly reducing reliance on exploitative borrowing methods. This initiative has effectively closed the grassroots credit gap, enhanced livelihoods, and empowered citizens to pursue self-reliance with dignity and confidence, according to the statement.
