New Delhi, Dec 22 (NationPress) The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is set to conduct its second consultative workshop prior to the release regarding the base revision of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), and Index of Industrial Production (IIP) at Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday.

The workshop aims to present the proposed methodological and structural alterations associated with the ongoing base revision of the GDP, CPI, and IIP, inviting feedback and insights from attendees. The inaugural consultative workshop took place in Mumbai on November 26.

This upcoming session will gather a diverse array of participants, including distinguished economists, financial institution experts, banking specialists, core statistics users, and high-ranking officials from both the Central and State Governments. This variety is expected to enhance discussions and help users understand the changes in the revised series.

The inaugural session will feature NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman K. Bery as the chief guest, accompanied by Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageswaran, MoSPI Secretary Saurabh Garg, and MoSPI's Director General for Central Statistics, N.K. Santoshi.
