Amaravati, Feb 1 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, expressed his appreciation for the Union Budget 2025-26 on Saturday, labeling it as "pro-people" and "progressive".

The President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) offered his sincere congratulations to the Union Government and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for delivering a "pro-people and progressive" budget.

Naidu, whose party plays a significant role in the BJP-led NDA government at the national level, shared on X that this budget embodies the vision for a Viksit Bharat under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

He stated, "It prioritizes the welfare of women, the underprivileged, youth, and farmers, while also pinpointing six critical sectors for development in the upcoming five years. This budget signifies a major advancement toward national prosperity," he remarked.

"It functions as a thorough and inclusive framework, ensuring a bright future for our nation. Furthermore, it offers tax relief for the middle class, who are the backbone of our economy. I wholeheartedly welcome this budget," Naidu added.

In related news, Union Minister for Civil Aviation, K. Ram Mohan Naidu, characterized the rise in the tax exemption limit to Rs 12 lakh as a historic move. He noted that such an action had never been taken previously.

The TDP leader asserted that this would lead to additional advantages for the middle class and emphasized that this development should be embraced by everyone, transcending party lines.

Ram Mohan Naidu mentioned that after the coalition government assumed office, CM Naidu conducted several discussions with the Centre.

The Union Minister indicated that as the duration of the works initiated by the Centre under the Jal Jeevan Mission was nearing conclusion, the Chief Minister urged the Finance Minister for an extension. The Finance Minister agreed, prolonging the Jal Jeevan Mission until 2028. He stated that this would ensure a reliable drinking water supply for every household in the state.

He also expressed gratitude to FM Sitharaman for prolonging the UDAN scheme for an additional decade.
