Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu Engages with PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, held a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, where they addressed several critical issues concerning the state.
The leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is a significant ally in the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, reportedly urged the Prime Minister to prioritize Andhra Pradesh in the upcoming Union Budget.
The discussion took place at the Prime Minister's residence and extended beyond an hour.
The TDP Chief, who is steering the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, provided an overview to Prime Minister Modi regarding the developmental initiatives executed over the past six months.
He also updated him on the advancements related to the Polavaram project, recognized as a national endeavor.
In attendance were Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, along with TDP Parliamentary Party leader Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu.
Earlier, the Chief Minister consulted with Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw regarding the outstanding railway projects in the state.
Union Ministers hailing from the state and several MPs were present during the discussions.
Chandrababu Naidu also had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Additionally, he is set to meet Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to deliberate on specific state-related matters.
The TDP Chief participated in a gathering of NDA leaders at the residence of BJP President J.P. Nadda.
To commence his day, the Chief Minister paid homage to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Samadhi.
He was accompanied by Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, and other senior BJP officials.
CM Naidu also expressed his tributes to former PM Vajpayee on his 100th birth anniversary via X. In his tribute, he stated, "Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a visionary leader and a true Bharat Ratna who dedicated his life to the service of our nation. A statesman par excellence, he championed democracy, dialogue, and consensus-building, leaving an indelible mark on India's democratic fabric. Atal ji was an astute parliamentarian and a poet at heart. He led the nation with exceptional foresight, paving the way for transformative reforms that propelled India toward global leadership in pivotal sectors such as IT, telecom, defence, infrastructure, and space. His unparalleled contributions have shaped the course of our nation's democratic history and future."
He further remarked, "I remain deeply grateful for the privilege of working under his guidance, particularly his support for my vision of transforming Andhra Pradesh into an IT powerhouse. May his legacy continue to inspire us, and may we always strive to uphold his principles and realise his vision for a prosperous India."
