Amaravati, Dec 19 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, engaged in a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi last Friday, where they deliberated on the advancement of several vital projects currently in progress within the state.

During their discussion, CM Naidu emphasized the overwhelmingly positive feedback from investors at the CII Partnership Summit 2025 held in Visakhapatnam. Major Indian and international companies showed significant interest in investing across diverse sectors including manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, energy, and services.

He pointed out that Andhra Pradesh’s proactive policies, transparent governance, and development-oriented strategy have substantially bolstered investor trust.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister and the Home Minister assessed the current political climate in Andhra Pradesh, reviewing recent events, political dynamics, and emerging challenges within the state.

Following the meeting with Amit Shah, CM Naidu participated in the CREDAI National Conclave, where he connected with real estate leaders and showcased the state’s vision for urban development along with investment prospects.

According to an official statement, CM Naidu also had a discussion with Union Roadways Minister Nitin Gadkari, urging the Centre to enhance national highway connectivity to Amaravati by linking it with major cities throughout the country.

The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for Minister Gadkari’s continuous efforts in expanding and modernizing India’s national highway framework, highlighting that road connectivity is a crucial element for regional growth and economic advancement.

CM Naidu articulated that Amaravati, as a burgeoning greenfield capital city, necessitates both direct and indirect integration with the national highway network to foster long-term growth, logistical efficiency, and inter-city accessibility. He requested the Union Minister to prioritize these connections to expedite Amaravati’s development.

A significant topic of discussion was the proposed 6-lane iconic cable-stayed bridge across the Krishna River at Muktyala–Mulapadu. CM Naidu urged the Centre to initiate the construction of this bridge through the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

CM further explained that this landmark 6-lane bridge would link Amaravati to three essential national highways, providing seamless connections to the Vijayawada–Hyderabad corridor, the Chennai–Kolkata highway, and the coastal road corridor. The bridge would also connect Amaravati with the proposed Hyderabad–Amaravati greenfield expressway, facilitating high-speed travel between these major cities.

The Chief Minister asserted that these enhanced links would greatly minimize travel times for residents, improve logistics transportation, and transform Amaravati into a mobility hub and a strategic logistics center within the national highway framework.

Describing the 6-lane iconic bridge as a critical infrastructure project for the capital of Andhra Pradesh, CM Naidu sought the full support of the Union Minister for its implementation.
