Amaravati, May 25 (NationPress) Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for highlighting YogAndhra 2025 in his monthly radio broadcast, Mann Ki Baat, on Sunday. Naidu remarked that the citizens of Andhra Pradesh have come together for this initiative. “We are hosting a month-long series of Yoga sessions across our state, including at 100 tourist hotspots, alongside numerous other engaging activities leading up to June 21. Our goal is to integrate Yoga into our everyday routines,” he shared on X.
“We eagerly anticipate your presence in Visakhapatnam on June 21 for the grand finale as we celebrate International Yoga Day together,” Naidu conveyed to the Prime Minister.
The initiative, ‘YogAndhra 2025’, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on May 21 as a month-long state-wide Yoga campaign.
This campaign will reach its peak during the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam on June 21, where Prime Minister Modi is expected to attend.
Naidu has set an ambitious goal for at least two crore people to engage in ‘YogAndhra’, with a target to distribute certificates to 10 lakh individuals.
The Chief Minister noted that 5 lakh participants are projected to join the International Yoga Day event in Visakhapatnam, stretching from RK Beach to Bhogapuram.
The state government aims to achieve a new Guinness World Record for the largest Yoga gathering at a single location.
Previously, in 2023, Surat set a new Guinness World Record with 1.53 lakh participants in one location.
Additionally, in a separate social media post, the Chief Minister praised the transformative leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that India has now surpassed Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy with a GDP of $4.2 trillion.
“According to IMF projections, India is set to overtake Germany and become the third-largest economy by 2028. We are at a pivotal moment where all states must unite and collaborate to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. As our nation advances towards this aspiration, Andhra Pradesh is poised to be a key driver of India’s growth and the realization of Swarna Andhra @ 2047,” Naidu concluded.
