New Delhi, Aug 11 (NationPress) The Union Agriculture Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has strongly criticized the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for allegedly spreading deceitful narratives aimed at creating chaos within the nation.
Chouhan further accused the Congress party and the INDIA Bloc of plotting to damage the country’s reputation and undermine its robust constitutional frameworks.
These statements were made following the Congress-led Opposition's actions, which resulted in the disruption of a significant portion of the Monsoon session due to the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) initiative in Bihar. Today, various Opposition MPs staged a march from Makar Dwar to express their dissent.
Chouhan asserted that Rahul Gandhi is being influenced by anti-national elements, claiming that both the Congress MP and the INDIA Bloc are attempting to defame democracy, dismantling it piece by piece, and undermining the respect for constitutional bodies.
“Rahul Gandhi is continuously misrepresenting facts and aims to incite anarchy. He has tarnished the reputation of the Election Commission, the Supreme Court, and the CAG. His comments questioning the bravery of the army were silenced when facts were presented,” Chouhan stated.
“He raised concerns about EVMs without any proof, then retreated after the Supreme Court's admonition and has now turned his attention to SIR,” he continued.
Chouhan, who has served as Chief Minister three times, posed queries to LoP Rahul and the leaders of the INDIA alliance regarding their claims of election fraud.
“Did Congress achieve victories in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh through voter list irregularities? Were governments formed in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Jharkhand due to Election Commission errors? Did Rahul ji, Priyanka ji, and Akhilesh Yadav ji also win due to voter list discrepancies?” Chouhan questioned.
The former MP Chief Minister further accused Rahul and his associates of making allegations and then evading responsibility.
“The Election Commission is requesting an affidavit to investigate your claims. You are jeopardizing national integrity. You are committing a disservice to the nation and its resilient democratic institutions,” he highlighted.
“I urge the citizens of the country to be wary of the INDIA Bloc's motives as their agenda is to weaken and dishonor our nation,” he concluded.
