Bhopal, Nov 3 (NationPress) - The Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangubhai Patel, emphasized on Monday that it is crucial for citizens to step up and engage in the efforts to eliminate Tuberculosis (TB). He called upon the community to extend their support to TB patients, asserting that "the essence of life is found in serving humanity, and aiding those in distress is a noble deed that invites divine blessings."
This statement was made during the launch of the 76th TB Seal Campaign, organized by the Madhya Pradesh TB Association in collaboration with the state government in Bhopal. The campaign's goal is to enhance public awareness about TB through various initiatives including rallies and campaigns, with a strong focus on community involvement.
The Governor highlighted that spreading information regarding TB is vital for its eradication. He stressed the need for creating awareness about the disease in remote and underserved regions.
Patel cautioned against concealing the disease, stating that even the most severe cases of TB can be successfully treated through early diagnosis, consistent medication, and a diet rich in nutrients. "With proper care, patients can regain their health," he added.
He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guiding principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayas", asserting that the TB Mukt Bharat campaign will lead to a TB-free nation and state.
Furthermore, Governor Patel encouraged individuals to maintain a disciplined approach towards their health and to follow a balanced lifestyle. He urged TB patients to adhere to their medication schedules and complete their treatment courses.
"It is essential for them to focus on their diet, incorporate coarse grains and nutritious foods, stay hydrated, get adequate rest, and engage in regular physical activity," the Governor concluded.
