Hyderabad, Nov 25 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded when a Class 10 girl student leaped to her death from the fifth floor of a school building in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The event took place at a private institution located in the Habsiguda area of the city.

The 15-year-old was reportedly distressed after receiving reprimands from her parents regarding her academic performance.

Authorities promptly arrived at the scene and transported the body to Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, for a post-mortem.

A case has been initiated and an investigation is currently underway.

This marks the second instance of a student suicide in Telangana recently.

On Monday, another Class 10 student allegedly committed suicide at the Telangana Minority Residential School in Chandrur, Nizamabad district. He was discovered hanging from an iron rod in his room with a bedsheet.

His classmates found him in this state and alerted the staff, who subsequently notified the police and his family. The police arrived and transported his body to the Nizamabad Government General Hospital (GGH) for a post-mortem.

The motivations behind this student's suicide remain unclear. His family indicated that he had been acting normally when he arrived in Nizamabad a day prior to update his Aadhaar card information.

Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

In response to the incident, the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) has suspended three employees from the residential school for negligence.

AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi engaged with TMREIS Vice-Chairman Faheem Qureshi regarding the situation. He called for a comprehensive investigation and accountability for those responsible.

Owaisi also urged the government to extend financial aid and support to the boy's family, requesting that a family member be offered a government job.

Qureshi has reached out to the student’s family, assuring them of all necessary assistance. He instructed TMREIS officials in the district to conduct a thorough inquiry. Following preliminary findings, three school employees were suspended due to negligence.
