Authorities discovered four lifeless bodies at the couple's residence in Ravindra Nagar colony in Habsiguda, falling under the jurisdiction of Osmania University Police Station, on Monday night.

Chandrasekhar Reddy (44) and his spouse Kavitha (35) are believed to have strangled their son Vishwan Reddy (10) and daughter Shrita Reddy (15) prior to taking their own lives by hanging.

Shrita was a ninth-grade student while Vishwan was in the fifth standard.

A police officer reported that they arrived at the scene following a Dial 100 call. The bodies of the husband and wife were located in separate rooms, while their children were found deceased on a bed.

Authorities also retrieved a suicide note penned by Chandrasekhar Reddy, in which he expressed that no one else should be blamed for their demise.

“I had no other choice but to end my life. Please forgive me. I have been struggling in my career and suffering mentally and physically. I have been battling diabetes and issues related to my nerves and kidneys,” he mentioned in the note, which was written in Telugu.

Police have transported the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy and have commenced an investigation.

Initial inquiries revealed that the family originally came from Kalwakurthy in Mahabubnagar district and had relocated to Hyderabad approximately a year ago.

Chandrasekhar Reddy had worked as a junior lecturer at a private college for a few months but had been unemployed for around six months, leading to significant financial difficulties for the family.

Circle Inspector N. Rajender stated that a case has been filed regarding the deaths under suspicious circumstances, and an investigation is underway.

He noted that the precise cause of death for the children would be established following the autopsy report.
