Mumbai, April 5 (NationPress) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized on Saturday the necessity of maintaining and cherishing the principles preached by Lord Shri Ram.

Lord Shri Ram is not merely a venerated figure but also a symbol of our nation, representing the essence of virtue. His existence embodies the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct. The teachings he imparted must be maintained and safeguarded,” he stated.

During the consecration and inauguration ceremony of Sanjog Devasthan in Mankhurd, he remarked on the importance of Shri Ram’s life, stating, “When we reflect on the journey of Lord Shri Ram, we recognize a ‘Yugpurush’— an individual who transformed an era. Although he is viewed as a divine entity, he did not depend on miracles while confronting Ravana. Rather, he brought people together, fostering a sense of triumph, dignity, and self-esteem, which ultimately led to the downfall of malevolent forces.”

He further asserted, “Even a common individual, by adhering to the path of truth, can vanquish the most formidable evil. Therefore, we must endeavor to follow the righteous path illuminated by Lord Shri Ram.”

CM Fadnavis conveyed his warm wishes to the members of Sanjog Society during the occasion.

In another announcement, it was revealed that 60 young professionals will be inducted into the Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship program for the year 2025-26. This initiative, launched during the initial term of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in 2015, continued until 2019.

This program, a significant initiative of Fadnavis, was halted during the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was resumed in 2023-24 under CM Eknath Shinde, but was interrupted because of the general and assembly elections. The program will now provide opportunities for 60 young individuals aged 21-26 to collaborate with various government departments for a year, with at least one third being women.

The fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 61,500. A total of 210 candidates within the age range of 21-26 will be chosen through an online examination, followed by interviews conducted by a panel of bureaucrats and specialists from diverse fields. The program aims to select graduates with a minimum of one year of work experience to work with various government departments, and they will be assigned to the offices of secretaries, collectors, and zilla parishad CEOs.

In accordance with the CM fellowship program, participants will be registered in a postgraduate certificate course in Public Policy, to be conducted in partnership with IIT-MUMBAI. To successfully complete the fellowship, the fellows must fulfill the requirements of both the certificate course and the practical work assigned in the respective departments or corporations.
