Prior to his departure for New Delhi, Chief Minister Yadav participated virtually in the HPV vaccination initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Rajasthan on Saturday.
During this event, the Chief Minister announced that the Madhya Pradesh government aims to vaccinate approximately 800,000 adolescent girls, having received over 758,500 vaccine doses from the Central government.
He noted that the vaccines will be administered to eligible girls aged 14 to 15 years, with each girl receiving a single dose.
"This vaccine, which typically costs around Rs 4,000 in the market, will be provided free of charge at designated government facilities. The campaign is set to run for the next three months," Chief Minister Yadav stated.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making significant efforts to safeguard daughters from serious diseases like cancer, and the HPV vaccination initiative is part of this commitment.
"Today marks a historic step towards ensuring the health of daughters and women across Madhya Pradesh with the launch of a state-wide HPV vaccination campaign," he added.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister called on parents to ensure their daughters receive the vaccination for a prosperous and cancer-free future, urging everyone to contribute to the campaign's success.
