Bhopal, March 6 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will evaluate the advancements of 'Krishna Patheya', a significant endeavor by the Madhya Pradesh government aimed at transforming locations linked to Lord Krishna into pilgrimage destinations within the state.
Following an announcement last year, the government established the 'Shri Krishna Patheya Trust', chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, in November.
The trust comprises a total of 28 members, including five distinguished scholars.
During the meeting scheduled for Thursday, trust members and officials will update Chief Minister Yadav on the project's status, as well as discuss and formulate a strategy for future actions.
Officials will receive essential directives to devise a comprehensive plan for the initiative.
According to the government, there are four notable locations in Madhya Pradesh that Lord Krishna is said to have visited: Sandipani Ashram, Narayan Dham, Amjhera Dham, and Janapav Dham.
The Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain is believed to be where Lord Krishna received his education. Narayan Dham, situated in Dhar district, commemorates the friendship between Lord Krishna and his impoverished Brahmin companion, Sudama.
As for Amjhera Dham, also in Dhar district, it is thought that Lord Krishna defeated Rukmini’s brother Rukmi and ‘eloped’ with her (with her consent) from this very location.
Janapav Dham, located in a village in Indore, is recognized as a vital pilgrimage site for followers of Lord Shiva and the Pandavas.
Legend has it that Lord Parashuram bestowed the Sudarshan Chakra to Lord Krishna at this site.
The initial announcement to enhance the sites associated with Lord Krishna was made a few months ago, and CM Yadav instructed the Religious Department to carry out an exhaustive study and develop a blueprint for these locations.
The objective is to develop these religious sites similarly to the 'Ram Van Gaman Path'.
Later on Thursday, Chief Minister Yadav will also preside over a meeting focused on evaluating the law and order situation in the state.
Present at the meeting will be Director General of Police Kailash Makwana and other senior police officials, along with Chief Secretary Anurag Jain.
