New Delhi, May 9 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while speaking to a crowd in Lucknow during the celebration of Maharana Pratap Jayanti on Friday, conveyed a powerful message of national unity amidst rising tensions between India and Pakistan. He commended the armed forces and asserted that India is always victorious.
“We must uphold the morale of our armed forces with full integrity and responsibility. It is crucial that we stand united behind our security forces. Any mischievous act that threatens our safety must be brought to light,” CM Yogi emphasized.
Addressing the issue of misinformation, especially on social media, the Chief Minister urged citizens to remain alert.
“Mischief will arise, particularly through social media, with attempts to spread falsehoods. However, we must remain unfazed, and the entire nation should heed the guidance from our central leadership, particularly our esteemed Prime Minister Modi,” he stated.
Reiterating India’s strength, CM Yogi declared, “India is a winner and will continue to be one; there is no doubt about it.”
His comments come in light of the increasing tensions at the India-Pakistan border following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives.
In retaliation, India initiated 'Operation Sindoor', targeting terrorist bases across the Line of Control (LoC) and in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Further escalating the situation, Pakistan reportedly engaged in multiple drone and artillery strikes along the Western Border and committed ceasefire violations.
In response, the Indian Army issued a resolute statement affirming its readiness: “The Indian Army is dedicated to protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nation. Any nefarious activities will be met with force.”
Earlier, CM Yogi paid floral tributes to Maharana Pratap in Lucknow and shared on X: "On this sacred birth anniversary of 'Hindu Surya', the illustrious son of Mother India, national hero, Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap, I paid homage by offering floral tributes to his statue in Lucknow today. His sacrifices and dedication to our country and religion will serve as an inspiration for future generations. Millions of salutations to his holy feet!"
