Bhubaneswar, Oct 17 (NationPress) The Congress party has unveiled a powerhouse lineup of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming by-election in the Nuapada Assembly Constituency, set to take place on November 11.
The roster features influential figures including Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and senior Rajasthan leader Sachin Pilot.
Released by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Friday, this list aims to rally support for their candidate, tribal leader Ghasiram Majhi. Other distinguished campaigners include Odisha in-charge Ajay Kumar Lallu, Kanhaiya Kumar, Alka Lamba, OPCC leader Bhakta Charan Das, Congress legislature party leader Ramachandra Kadam, and MP Saptagiri Ulaka.
Insiders within the party believe that the involvement of these national leaders will invigorate grassroots workers and assist the Congress in regaining its influence in the area.
On the other hand, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposing Biju Janata Dal (BJD) have both rolled out their campaign tactics.
The BJP has nominated Jay Dholakia and will receive support from Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw, alongside Jual Oram and organizational head Sunil Bansal.
Meanwhile, the BJD has put forward former Minister Snehangini Chhuria, with backing from former CM Naveen Patnaik and key leaders such as Prasanna Acharya, Debi Prasad Mishra, Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pranab Prakash Das, and Arun Sahoo.
