Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Bhopal, Feb 20 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed strong disapproval over the disruption caused by the Congress Youth Wing during the AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, labeling the protest as ‘anti-national’.
“The disturbance initiated by Congress members, amidst the nation's significant achievements at the AI Impact Summit, represents the discomfort stemming from the country's advancement,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister emphasized that while the global community recognizes India's technological prowess, the Congress is transforming national platforms into arenas for political conflict.
He asserted that no entity has the authority to undermine the nation's reputation on an international scale.
“This is a new India, progressing with unwavering confidence. The politics of chaos cannot hinder the path of development,” he added.
State BJP chief Hemant Khandelwal stated that the central leadership of Congress should be held accountable for the chaos instigated by their party members, and he called for an apology from Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is tirelessly working to ensure that our nation excels globally in AI, achieves self-reliance, and leads the world. Conversely, the Congress is attempting to tarnish this image. They should undoubtedly apologize to the nation and every citizen for this behavior,” Khandelwal remarked.
The AI Impact Summit 2026 venue faced turmoil on Friday when a faction of protesters, allegedly from the Indian Youth Congress, entered the venue and shouted slogans against Prime Minister Modi and the India-US trade deal.
Protesters were seen donning or carrying T-shirts with messages such as ‘PM is compromised’, ‘India-US trade deal’ and ‘Epstein Files’.
