Key Takeaways
Ujjain, Oct 28 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav conveyed heartfelt wishes and regards to the public on the significant occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, a festival celebrated with immense reverence in the Purvanchal and North-Eastern regions.
He remarked that the sacred festival of Chhath Maiya is rooted in scientific understanding and centers around the veneration of the Sun and Water. Lord Suryanarayan nourishes the universe through energy, while the essence of life itself springs from water.
The Chhath observance fosters self-discipline, restraint, and inner fortitude. The unique aspect of this festival lies in the worship of both the setting and rising sun.
Chief Minister Yadav engaged with devotees following his participation in the Chhath Pooja held at Vikram Sarovar, situated within the Samrat Vikramaditya University campus in Ujjain on Tuesday.
Yadav emphasized that Bihar has historically been a beacon for India, flourishing under the divine grace of the Almighty. Bihar is recognized as the birthplace of Lord Buddha and Mahavir, who illuminated not just the nation but the entire globe.
He further articulated that Madhya Pradesh shares a profound cultural connection with Bihar. Several significant rivers originating in Madhya Pradesh converge with the Ganga and Yamuna rivers, flowing into Bihar.
"Madhya Pradesh is often referred to as the motherland of rivers. The sacred waters of the Shipra River travel to Bihar through the Chambal, Yamuna, and Ganga rivers. Likewise, the Son river, which begins in Amarkantak, nurtures Bihar via the Ganga river," he stated.
Yadav highlighted that women observe the Chhath fast for the prosperity of their families, the state, and the nation.
He noted that mothers and sisters, despite facing challenges, pray for the well-being and joy of their loved ones.
"Their selfless devotion fosters the spirit of familial unity. Our culture is built upon the strength of motherhood; our nation holds Bharat Mata in high esteem," Yadav expressed during the Chhath program in Ujjain.
Yadav also conducted Chhath pooja at Vikram Sarovar, engaged with devotees, and shared festive greetings. He remarked that Vikram Sarovar epitomizes the valor of Emperor Vikramaditya.
