Patna, May 1 (NationPress) In a deeply disturbing event, a female orchestra dancer hailing from Vaishali district in Bihar was reportedly subjected to gang rape by three individuals in front of her husband near Sikandarpur Diyara, under the jurisdiction of Shahpur police station on the outskirts of Patna, as stated by an official on Thursday.

The authorities indicated that the woman had arrived to perform at a wedding celebration in Shankarpur Diara alongside her husband on Tuesday evening.

Once the event was finished in the early hours of April 30, the couple, not familiar with the area, sought directions from a passing bike rider. Allegedly, the rider deceived them into taking a wrong route and summoned two accomplices.

“The trio of criminals forcibly took the couple to a maize field, held the husband against his will, and then gang-raped the woman at gunpoint,” remarked Bhanu Pratap Singh, ASP of Danapur.

He explained that the suspects fled after the heinous act, but the victim bravely reported the assault at the Shahpur police station.

The official noted that a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged under the pertinent sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sahita (BNS) Act, leading to the arrest of two suspects - Manish Kumar and Manoj Kumar, both residing in Shankarpur.

He further mentioned that the third suspect is still at large, with ongoing efforts to capture him. The victim has undergone a medical examination at the Sub Divisional Hospital in Danapur, and her condition is reported stable.

ASP Danapur reassured that the third suspect will be apprehended shortly.

In a related incident on April 28, another woman was gang-raped by three men near Sasamusa railway station in the Kuchaykot police station area of Gopalganj district.

According to police reports, this incident occurred around 5 AM when the woman, who had been staying at her father's home in Shyampur village to assist with his medical treatment, was returning to Uttar Pradesh.

While waiting for her train at Sasamusa station, she went to a nearby hand pump for water. It was there that three unidentified men allegedly approached her, gagged her mouth, and took her to a secluded area near the railway station where they gang-raped her. The assailants fled the scene, leaving the victim behind.
