New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) The President of the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Virendra Sachdeva, has called for an official apology from leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their derogatory remarks regarding Education Minister Ashish Sood. These remarks pertained to matters such as the so-called 'fake dog count' and alleged comments about residents living in 'small colonies'.
Sachdeva expressed that the citizens of Delhi are appalled by the AAP leaders' shifting stances, who initially entered the political landscape under the guise of upholding high moral standards.
Furthermore, he highlighted that AAP leaders, including former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi AAP Chief Saurabh Bharadwaj, were the first to target Minister Ashish Sood by claiming that the Education Department had circulated an order assigning teachers the task of counting dogs.
However, after Minister Sood revealed the actual circular through the media, exposing the 'lies of AAP', these leaders resorted to personal attacks.
The Delhi BJP President stated that both the citizens of Delhi and the State BJP firmly denounce the personal attacks against Minister Sood by AAP leaders. He challenged them to either produce any circular mandating teachers to count dogs or formally apologize to the Minister.
Sachdeva also remarked on how AAP leader Kejriwal established a new political party under the banner of lofty ideals. “While AAP initially nominated some new faces, over its 10 years in governance, it has welcomed leaders from various parties and, notably, has surpassed the Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Rashtriya Janata Dal in terms of corruption,” he stated.
BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor added that Minister Sood, hailing from a modest background of teachers and residing in the middle-class locality of Janakpuri, represents not just his neighborhood but also nearly 25 unauthorized colonies.
Kapoor emphasized his long-standing association with Minister Sood, asserting that the Minister treats all colleagues and residents across different colonies in Delhi equally.
