New Delhi, Aug 11 (NationPress) Following the initiative of Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Tiranga Yatras were conducted across 32 mandals for the second consecutive day on Monday, as reported by a party spokesperson.
The Tiranga Yatras took place in 32 mandals spanning 10 districts, with involvement from Members of Parliament, state officials, MLAs, district presidents, as well as mandal-level officials and party members.
The Tiranga Yatra was held in two mandals of Keshavpuram district, seven mandals in Chandni Chowk, three in Mayur Vihar, six in Shahdara, three in Karol Bagh, two in New Delhi, three in North West Delhi, one in Outer Delhi, four in West Delhi, and one in Najafgarh.
Sachdeva emphasized that the Tiranga Yatra is being organized nationwide in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call, serving as a tribute to our armed forces who have demonstrated exceptional courage against Pakistan.
He remarked that our three branches of the armed forces displayed tremendous bravery, dismantling terror camps in Pakistan, and this yatra serves as a salute to them.
By joining this yatra, the public is showing their appreciation for the Indian armed forces, he added.
In Chandni Chowk, the Tiranga Yatra was led by MP Praveen Khandelwal, focusing on promoting patriotism and honoring the national flag. The event saw vast participation from local traders and BJP supporters.
The procession kicked off at the historic Red Fort and proceeded to the Fatehpuri Cloth Market.
Notable figures present included Chandni Chowk District BJP President Arvind Garg, District In-Charge Rajesh Bhatia, Delhi BJP Spokespersons Praveen Shankar Kapoor and Yasir Jilani, District Coordinators Gopal Garg and Madan Aggarwal, and several municipal councillors.
Several organizations, around 30 in total, warmly welcomed the Tiranga Yatra, including the Chandni Chowk Vyapari Parishad, Chandni Chowk Nagarik Manch, and various trader associations.
