Congress Wraps Up Delhi Nyay Yatra, Commits to Overthrow AAP and BJP

New Delhi, Dec 7 (NationPress) The president of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, Devender Yadav, officially wrapped up his month-long Delhi Nyay Yatra on Saturday, covering all 70 Assembly constituencies, asserting that the residents of Delhi now require effective governance that can only be achieved through Congress.
He highlighted that the remarkable public backing for the Yatra sends a clear signal that the people desire Congress to reclaim power and establish a democratic government, rather than a governance model centered around individuals like Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Saturday, thousands of Congress supporters and local citizens joined the Yatra, which commenced from Krishan Vihar, Rathi Complex, Burari, where Yadav received a warm welcome.
The Delhi Congress head mentioned that after covering over 650 km across Delhi and engaging with a wide array of individuals, he has gained insights into their challenges and hardships.
He pledged to tackle issues concerning unemployed youth, street vendors, educators stuck in ad hoc positions, and housewives facing financial difficulties, as well as the persistent problems of contaminated drinking water, high electricity costs, and air and water pollution.
Yadav also criticized the BJP for abandoning its plans to initiate a ‘Parivartan Yatra’ aimed at swaying voters ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.
He stated that besides making empty promises and engaging in rhetoric, the BJP has failed to deliver anything substantial for the people of Delhi, with voters consistently rejecting the BJP for the past 26 years due to its corruption and inefficiency, akin to Kejriwal.
Yadav remarked that instead of urging his government to implement effective measures for the safety and security of the populace, Kejriwal is resorting to petty politics by blaming the BJP.
He noted that both AAP and BJP are equally responsible for fostering a “jungle raj” in Delhi.
He recalled that during Congress's tenure in Delhi, Kejriwal had demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit after the Nirbhaya incident and questioned why he has not called for the resignation of his own Chief Minister Atishi concerning law and order issues.
